Hurricane Headdress is best known for my whimsical headdresses made from feathers, jewels, florals, and handmade objects.
Growing up on the island and raising my 3 children there, Mardi Gras has been of particular interest to the entire family. Taking inspiration from the glamorous costuming of Vaudeville, Old Hollywood, and of course, the flamboyance of Carnaval, you will have a unique and original piece. Galveston hosts the 3rd largest Mardi Gras in the United states and you can trust that Hurricane Headdress will have you taking any party by storm!
With a graduate degree in Art Education, I love hosting workshops to bring out your creative side. Not feeling crafty? I make custom pieces in my studio for just about anything.
I'm always on the go (#glitteronthehighway) and split time between the beach and the Sam Houston National Forest, where I live with my husband and 6 acquired "ditch" dogs.
